Opting for a staycation in the French capital this summer might just land you a spot on screen. Netflix has issued a fresh casting call for the upcoming season of Emily in Paris, seeking men and women to populate its famously fashionable world.
Wardrobe Requirements Take Center Stage
The streaming giant is looking for talent aged 20 to 60, but with a very specific catch. The announcement stresses that a “very large choice of Parisian, trendy, elegant, glamorous, and festive outfits is required.” The production is explicitly hunting for profiles capable of embodying a “trendy, glamorous, and sophisticated Parisian clientele.”
“The outfits will be fully part of the image and must allow for varying atmospheres between a chic reception, a festive party, and a high-society event,” the notice details. For those whose closets meet the brief, applications require portrait shots and full-length photos showcasing several elegant ensembles.
The dress code is non-negotiable. ” must have tuxedos, three-piece suits, or very chic sets. Women must offer long dresses or elegant sets with a long skirt,” the announcement specifies.
Overnight Filming in the City of Light
The shoot is scheduled for the heart of Paris. A first filming date has been set for the night of August 3rd to 4th, a backup option on August 6th to 7th. The working hours will span from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m., though the precise location remains undisclosed for now.
This latest search for background actors confirms that production on the new season is ramping up, promising more of the aspirational Parisian aesthetic that has become the show’s signature.
