ISLAMABAD — The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) officially released the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I and II first annual examinations for 2026 on Tuesday, revealing a significant academic triumph for female students who dominated the merit list.
During a formal ceremony in the federal capital, officials confirmed that girls secured seven out of the ten available top positions. Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who attended as the chief guest, extended his congratulations to the high achievers and described the moment as a stepping stone toward future national progress.

The FBISE chairman provided a comprehensive breakdown of the examination logistics. A total of 292,831 candidates appeared across 1,006 examination centers nationwide. To ensure transparency, the board deployed 2,012 supervisory staff members alongside 6,996 invigilators. Additionally, 4,855 teachers were engaged for paper evaluation from a pool of over 10,000 applicants.
In the highly competitive Science Group, Afeera Ijaz clinched the overall first position with a remarkable score of 1,089 marks. She was closely followed by Amna Nauman, who secured second place with 1,088 marks. Huzaifa Haider earned the third position, obtaining 1,086 marks. Officials also noted that 86 cases related to cheating were reported during the assessment process.

The FBISE has activated multiple platforms to facilitate access to the 2026 matriculation results. Candidates can retrieve their detailed scorecards instantly using the following methods:
- Online Portal: Students should visit the official FBISE results website, select the “SSC Part II First Annual Examination 2026” option, and enter their roll number. The digital result card will display subject-wise marks, grades, and overall pass status.
- SMS Service: Candidates can receive their results on their mobile phones by typing “FB [space] Roll Number” and sending the message to the shortcode 5050.
- Official Gazette: The board will also issue a comprehensive result gazette for all affiliated institutions, serving as an official record of the examination outcomes.
