In a significant crackdown on the city’s drug networks, Karachi police have arrested Kamran Murad, the brother of an alleged high-profile cocaine dealer, seizing a substantial cache of narcotics and cash. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to dismantle family-run trafficking rings operating within the metropolis.
Drugs and Cash Seized During Targeted Operation
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a targeted raid that led to the apprehension of Kamran Murad, son of Murad Bakhsh. During the search, officers recovered over two kilograms of hashish and half a kilogram of crystal meth, commonly known as ice. In addition to the narcotics, authorities confiscated a significant amount of cash and several mobile phones believed to be used in coordinating drug sales.
Family Ties to Notorious Drug Network
Investigators have confirmed that the arrested suspect is the brother of Anmol, widely known by the alias Pinky, who is wanted in connection with cocaine distribution. Police records indicate that Kamran Murad is a repeat offender with a criminal history, having been previously arrested in multiple cases related to narcotics. The arrest highlights the deep-rooted connections within specific family units involved in the city’s drug trade.

Law enforcement officials have registered formal cases against the suspect under the stringent Control of Narcotic Substances Act.
