A man armed with a kitchen knife infiltrated the French Ministry of Health in central Paris early this morning, exposing a staggering security failure at one of the nation’s most sensitive government buildings. The intruder bypassed all standard screening simply by walking through a faulty emergency exit.
A Simple, Undetected Entry
The breach occurred around 6 a.m. on Avenue Duquesne. According to reports from RMC and Le Parisien, confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office, the suspect did not need to force his way past the main security gates. Instead, he entered the building via a street-level emergency door that had been improperly secured.
Once inside, the man wandered freely through the first-floor corridors. Surveillance footage later captured him moving through the restricted area, where he proceeded to ransack approximately forty offices. By the time security personnel spotted him on their monitors, he was already gathering stolen computer equipment.
A Confrontation and Swift Arrest
While entering the high-security building proved effortless, exiting was not. Security guards immediately confronted the intruder. He brandished his kitchen knife at them but did not attack, attempting to flee back through the same emergency door he had used moments earlier.
