Seven Terrorists Killed in Anti-Terror Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Peshawar/Dera Ismail Khan: Seven terrorists were killed in various encounters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on Sunday, with one soldier martyred during the operations. The information was obtained from official sources. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an operation in the Dera Ismail Khan area based on intelligence, where armed individuals were reported. The operation took place during the night between February 8 and 9. Three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire, while two others were injured.

According to reports, the deceased terrorists were skilled in making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and manufacturing bombs, and were involved in multiple terrorist incidents. Following the operation, security forces initiated search operations to locate the accomplices of the terrorists in the area. Additionally, another operation was carried out in Mir Ali Tehsil in North Waziristan near Peshawar, where security forces eliminated four terrorists and injured three others. The clearance operation is ongoing in these areas as security forces remain determined to eradicate terrorism.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif commended the successful anti-terror operations against ‘Khawarij’ terrorists in D.I. Khan and North Waziristan. In an incident at the border near Hasan Khel in Kohat, one soldier was martyred and three others were injured during an exchange of fire with terrorists. The operation was a joint effort involving the police, the Counter-Terrorism Department, and security forces. The gunfire exchange began at 8:15 in the morning while the operation was ongoing in Rokhan Khel village in Kundao area of Hasan Khel. Two individuals were also killed in the Gor Baz Bakha Khel area of Bannu. Authorities stated that the armed individuals kidnapped and later killed Police Constable Riazullah and a local resident Habibullah, citing personal enmity as the motive, with investigations underway.
