A true story of an Indian martyr, the film tells of Sultana who in order to avenge the injustice done to him and his family by the Britishers with, the instigation of zamindar, turned a dreaded dacoit. It also tells of an unusual relation between Sultana and Captain Young, a young British Officer and the latters futile attempt to save Sultana from being hanged.
