Security forces eliminated eight suspected Indian-backed terrorists in two separate intelligence-driven operations across Balochistan’s Kharan and Mastung districts, the military confirmed on Friday. The raids, part of an ongoing campaign against foreign-sponsored militancy, targeted cells linked to what officials describe as “Indian Proxies, Fitna Al Hindustan.”>
Precision Strikes Disrupt Terror Networks
The first engagement unfolded on June 25 in Kharan District after surveillance tracked a militant group’s movement. Troops launched a precise assault, killing three operatives and wounding several others. The following day, a pre-emptive operation in Mastung District neutralized a suicide bomber and four additional fighters after an intense firefight. Weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices, and motorcycles were recovered from the scene.
“These operations reflect the unwavering resolve of our forces to dismantle foreign-sponsored terror infrastructure,” said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement. Sanitization sweeps continue in both areas to root out any remaining threats.
‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ Drives Counterterrorism Surge
The raids mark the latest phase of the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. Officials stress the campaign will intensify, coordinating military and law enforcement assets to crush externally supported terrorism.
Balochistan, long plagued by separatist violence, has seen a spike in cross-border militant activity. Authorities blame Indian intelligence agencies for arming and training proxies to destabilize the province. Islamabad has repeatedly raised the issue at international forums, demanding accountability for state-sponsored subversion.
