RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has declared that hostile attempts to destabilize Balochistan will be defeated through the collective resolve of the nation and a firm, decisive response by the state.
The military leader made the remarks during an interaction with notables and political leadership from Balochistan. He identified Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan as foreign-sponsored proxies being used by hostile elements to undermine stability in the province, obstruct its development, and create divisions between the state and its people.
Unity and National Narrative Central to Countering Hostile Designs
Field Marshal Munir underscored that the present and future of Balochistan and Pakistan are inseparable. He praised the people of Balochistan as talented, resilient, patriotic, and proud, emphasizing that a clear national narrative and enduring peace are essential to unlocking the province’s economic potential.
He noted that stability would attract investment and convert Balochistan’s abundant human and natural resources into tangible prosperity for its citizens. The army chief stressed that empowering youth and providing them with opportunities to contribute to national progress remains central to sustainable development.
Countering Propaganda and Strengthening Social Cohesion
The Field Marshal appreciated the role of Balochistan’s notables and society leaders in promoting peace, strengthening social cohesion, and advancing a constructive national discourse. He called for a holistic and unhesitating effort to counter hostile propaganda, expose false narratives, and project the true potential and aspirations of the province.
He reiterated that the destiny of Balochistan rests solely in the hands of its people. Participants at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development, and prosperity for both Balochistan and Pakistan.
Standing Shoulder to Shoulder with the State
Those present resolved to stand shoulder to shoulder with the state and armed forces against all foreign-sponsored threats to peace and stability.
