ISLAMABAD — The first contingent of Sri Lanka’s cricket team arrived in Islamabad on Monday, marking the start of the visitors’ highly anticipated tour of Pakistan, according to Dunya News.
The 13-member group received a warm welcome upon landing at Islamabad International Airport, setting the stage for a three-match T20 International series between the two sides.
Contingent Breakdown
The advance party comprises eight players from Sri Lanka’s T20 squad alongside five team management officials. The remaining five members of the touring party are scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday, completing the full squad ahead of the opening fixture.
Series Schedule
All three matches of the series will be staged at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the curtain-raiser set for Friday, October 9. The two remaining fixtures will follow on October 11 and 13.
