Amandine Petit, who was crowned Miss France in 2021, married her longtime partner Julien on Saturday, June 20. The 28-year-old Norman beauty queen shared the joyous news with her followers through a series of heartfelt social media posts, describing her new husband as her “best friend.”
A Schoolyard Romance Leads to the Altar
The couple, who had been engaged since last July, celebrated their union surrounded by family and friends. Petit posted a short video on Instagram showing the newlyweds being cheered as they exited the church. The clip has already garnered over 165,000 likes. “Be careful who you sit next to on the school benches,” captioned the video, hinting at the long history of their relationship.
Before the ceremony, Petit shared another touching moment: her father seeing her in her wedding dress for first time. The emotional video was captioned, “Forever and always the first man in my life,” capturing a deeply personal father-daughter exchange.
Miss France Sisterhood Rallies with Congratulations
The comments section quickly filled with warm wishes from former Miss France titleholders, highlighting the strong bonds within the pageant community. Clémence Botino (Miss France 2020) wrote, “Congratulations lovebirds. I truly wish you all the happiness in the world! You sincerely deserve it.” Sylvie Tellier, who won the crown in 2002, added, “Lots of love to you both, you look so beautiful! Congratulations.”
Vaimalama Chaves (Miss France 2019) commented, “Congratulations loves. May your happiness shine forever,” while Marine Lorphelin (2013) confessed she had a “big tear in her eye” while watching the video.
Beyond her pageant career, Petit is known as a triathlete and an ambassador for the Alzheimer Research Foundation. She also competed in the 12th season of “Danse avec les stars” in 2022.
