Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has arrived in Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir. According to reports from IRNA News, General Bagheri landed at Rawalpindi’s Nur Khan Airbase, where he was welcomed by senior Pakistani military officials and staff from the Iranian Embassy.
During his visit, General Bagheri is expected to hold discussions with Pakistan’s top political and defense leadership on key issues, including regional security, bilateral defense relations, and the expansion of military cooperation. Sources indicate that the Iranian military chief will meet with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, as well as the country’s President, Prime Minister, and Defense Minister.
This marks General Bagheri’s second visit to Pakistan in the past three years, underscoring the importance both nations place on strengthening their strategic and defense ties.
