In a coup for French electronic music, Rockstar Games has announced that Justice, the iconic French Touch duo, will compose the soundtrack for the highly anticipated video game GTA VI. The reveal came on Thursday, October 15, just weeks ahead of the game’s global release.
A Star-Studded First Track
Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé, the two members of Justice, have been tasked with creating various themes that will accompany the game. To mark the announcement, the duo unveiled a first track titled Flower in a Hurricane. The song brings together Tame Impala, the beloved project of Australian musician Kevin Parker, American artist SZA, and Melbourne-based rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
The track is already available on streaming platforms and will also be included in Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the game’s official compilation featuring 34 songs. Rockstar Games had already revealed six tracks from the album in September, including a piece by rapper Travis Scott produced by French artist Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (formerly of Daft Punk) and another by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
Justice’s Rising Global Profile
First making waves in the early 2000s with hits like D.A.N.C.E., Genesis, and We Are Your Friends, Justice released their fourth studio album, Hyperdrama, in 2024, followed by a world tour spanning around a hundred dates. The duo recently collaborated with Belgian artist Angèle on the track What You Want, marking her shift toward a more electronic sound.
The Parisian pair also won a Grammy Award in 2025 for Neverender, featuring Tame Impala. It was Justice’s third Grammy, cementing their status as one of the ambassadors of French Touch, the informal banner for French electronic music that has achieved international success.
GTA VI: A Long-Awaited Release
GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19, arriving 13 years after GTA V, the second best-selling game in history behind the phenomenon Minecraft. The game has already generated enormous anticipation, with its female protagonist, Lucia Caminos, sparking widespread discussion online even before launch.
