Murder Investigation Progresses: 23-Year-Old Suspect in Custody in the Case of 11-Year-Old Girl’s Death in Spain
In the neighborhood of El Pinar de Antequera, a 23-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of 11-year-old Luisa. The young man, identified with the help of surveillance camera footage, was handed over to the police on Monday evening. Luisa’s body was found last Saturday in a forest in Llano Mies, where she went missing after leaving her school on Friday. During the investigation, police found signs of scratching on the suspect’s hands and inconsistencies in his statements.
The suspect’s mother and partner are also accused of aiding him in presenting false alibis. Following the suspect’s arrest, residents in the area identified him, prompting the police to immediately place him in custody. According to the police investigative team, the suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie, which was captured on video cameras. Additionally, DNA samples from Luisa’s body are still being analyzed for further insights.
Furthermore, signs of injuries on the suspect’s hands, possibly indicating scratches or wounds, have been discovered. Public Prosecutor Iván Gómez has confirmed that the suspect is facing charges of the murder of a child under 15 years old. Close associates, including his mother, father, and partner, have also been taken into custody as they are facing allegations of withholding information about the crime.
This incident comes to light as the police recently arrested another 23-year-old in El Pinar de Antequera, with a background of being homeless. Before that, another young man and his mother were also taken into custody in Ronda but were later released without charges. The murder of Luisa has caused fear and anxiety in the area, with the community now focused on the police investigations.
