ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt wishes and prayers on Monday for the swift and smooth recovery of his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim, as the latter undergoes a series of prescribed medical examinations and procedures.
In a message of solidarity shared on his official X timeline, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that the entire nation stood with the Malaysian leader during this period of medical observation.

“The people of Pakistan join me in praying for his continued good health and well-being. May Allah SWT bless him with a speedy return to his duties,” Sharif wrote, addressing the 78-year-old premier directly as “my dear brother.”
The public statement from Islamabad came shortly after Malaysian state-run news agency Bernama confirmed the health development. According to the report, Prime Minister Ibrahim is currently undergoing medical investigations and procedures recommended by a team of specialists.
Two-Day Medical Observation Period
Quoting Prime Minister Ibrahim’s Senior Press Secretary, Tunku Nashrul Abaidah, the Bernama dispatch indicated that the Malaysian leader is expected to remain under medical observation for two days.
