NASEERABAD, Balochistan — A devastating domestic accident in Dera Murad Jamali has left a police officer fighting for his life and claimed the lives of his wife and three children after an air-conditioning compressor exploded inside their home, local authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
The incident involved Police Officer Shahid Abro, whose wife, two sons, and a daughter succumbed to their injuries while receiving emergency medical treatment. Abro himself remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Family Rushed to Sukkur Hospital After Explosion
According to officials, the explosion occurred at the family residence in Dera Murad Jamali, a city in Balochistan’s Naseerabad Division. The blast left Abro, his wife, and four children with severe injuries. All six family members were immediately transferred to a hospital in Sukkur, Sindh, for specialized care.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, the condition of the officer’s wife and three of the children deteriorated rapidly. Authorities confirmed that the wife, two sons, and one daughter died during treatment. The surviving child’s condition has not been specified in initial reports.
