QUETTA — Pakistani security forces have killed eleven militants in separate operations across Balochistan province, according to security sources, in a continued push against armed groups operating in the region.
The operations were conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, a ongoing military campaign targeting militants in the Panjgur and Chagai districts of the southwestern province.
Operations in Panjgur and Chagai
According to security sources, forces carried out an operation in the Gwargo area of Panjgur district, where five militants were killed.
In separate operations conducted in Aminabad and Siah Chang, six additional militants were killed, the sources said.
A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants killed during the operations in Chagai, according to security officials.
The operations form part of ongoing actions against militant groups across the province, the sources added.
Interior Minister Praises Security Forces
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised Pakistan’s security forces for their operations against militants in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
Naqvi commended the professional capabilities of the forces and paid tribute to the personnel involved in the operations.
The interior minister said the security forces had demonstrated their resolve to protect national security by thwarting the militants’ alleged plans. He expressed pride in the personnel taking part in Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
Naqvi said the nation stood alongside the security forces in the fight against terrorism. He added that operations against what the government refers to as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij were continuing with full force and would continue.
Ongoing Security Campaign
Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, has long been the site of security operations against various militant and separatist groups. The operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 represent a continuation of the government’s stated commitment to eliminating armed threats in the region.
Authorities have not released further details about the identities of the militants killed or the specific groups they were affiliated with.
