KARACHI — Two militants affiliated with the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) were killed in an exchange of fire with Counter-Terrorism Department personnel in the Ghazi Goth area of Manghopir, officials said.
According to CTD officials, the encounter took place during a joint operation by the CTD and other law enforcement agencies, launched after a tip-off regarding the presence of militants in the area.
Weapons Recovered From the Scene
Officials identified the slain suspects as members of the outlawed BLF. Kalashnikovs and pistols were recovered from the suspects, according to the CTD.
The bodies of the slain suspects were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
