An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has ordered the production of PTI founder Imran Khan at the next hearing of the Judicial Complex attack case, directing authorities to secure his appearance either physically or through video link.
Court Directs Khan’s Appearance
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the hearing of the case registered against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders in connection with the attack on the Judicial Complex. The judge instructed authorities to ensure the former prime minister is brought before the court at the next hearing, whether in person or via video link.
Four PTI Leaders Declared Proclaimed Offenders
The court declared four senior PTI figures proclaimed offenders and ordered authorities to submit details of their properties. Those declared absconders include:
- Former federal minister Farah Habib
- Former federal minister Hammad Azhar
- Former federal minister Murad Saeed
- Former federal minister Shibli Faraz
Non-Bailable Warrants Issued
In addition to the proclaimed offender declarations, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for two other PTI officeholders: former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasiq Qayyum and PTI MPA Hassan Khan Niazi.
Case Adjourned to November 5
The proceedings stem from a case registered at Ramna Police Station in Islamabad. The court adjourned further hearings until November 5, when Imran Khan is expected to appear and the other accused face the consequences of the warrants and proclaimed offender statuses issued against them.
