Rawalpindi: A heated altercation occurred at the gates of Adiala Jail involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry and Barrister Shoaib Shaheen, leading to a physical confrontation. According to sources, the incident took place at gate number five of the jail when Fawad Chaudhry allegedly called Shoaib Shaheen a “tout,” prompting a sharp rebuke from Shaheen, who advised Chaudhry to mind his own business.

During the ensuing argument, Fawad Chaudhry reportedly slapped Shoaib Shaheen, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain an injury to his arm. After the incident, Chaudhry proceeded into the jail while Shoaib Shaheen was called inside by the jail superintendent for further discussions.

Nadia Khattak, a PTI worker present at the scene, confirmed the altercation, stating that Chaudhry indeed struck Shaheen, resulting in his fall. Khattak emphasized that differences should remain verbal and that physical altercations should be avoided. She noted her relief that Shaheen did not suffer any fractures, although he did sustain a bruise on his hand.

This is not the first time Fawad Chaudhry has been involved in such incidents. He has previously been embroiled in disputes with television anchors Mubasher Lucman and Sami Ibrahim, highlighting a pattern of confrontational behavior.

The incident underscores the ongoing tensions within political ranks, drawing attention to the need for maintaining decorum and restraint in political discourse.
