A Brazen Hijacking
In a scene more fitting for a slapstick comedy than a serious crime, armed robbers who hijacked an Amazon delivery van in France saw their plan unravel in the mud. The incident occurred in Quincy-Voisins, Seine-et-Marne, on December 19, 2025. The assailants targeted a driver for an Amazon subcontractor, holding him at gunpoint and forcing him into his own van.
A Plan Stuck in the Mud
Seeking privacy to transfer the stolen packages, the thieves drove the van to a secluded forest path. Their plan backfired spectacularly when their getaway car became hopelessly stuck in the mud. For roughly thirty minutes, the would-be criminals were seen desperately trying to free their vehicle, drawing the attention of a witness.
A Foot Chase to Freedom
The witness’s alert allowed police to respond quickly. As gendarmes arrived on the scene, the stranded robbers had no choice but to abandon their loot and their stuck car, fleeing into the woods on foot. While the bungled heist has elements of dark comedy, it underscores a serious threat to delivery drivers, whose life was profoundly disrupted by the violent ordeal.
