In a disturbing incident in the Boshra area of Khyber district, Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan was shot and injured by unidentified assailants. According to police reports, the official was accompanying police personnel when unknown individuals opened fire on them. The injured officer was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud was also targeted in a shooting incident in the Bagan area of Lower Khyber, leaving him and several others, including FC and police personnel as well as bystanders, injured. Fortunately, Deputy Commissioner Mehsud is now out of danger.
The Interior Minister condemned these attacks, describing them as attempts to sabotage peace agreements in the region. He emphasized that such acts are aimed at undermining efforts to restore stability and assured that the government is committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice. The minister also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured officials.
Political leaders, including Mohsin Naqvi, have also expressed their concerns and extended prayers for the speedy recovery of both Deputy Commissioner Mehsud and Assistant Commissioner Manan. These incidents have further complicated the security landscape in Khyber district, highlighting the need for decisive government action.
