QUETTA — Security forces killed two wanted militants during an intelligence-based operation in Dalbandin, located in Balochistan’s Chagai district, according to security sources.
The operation was carried out as part of the ongoing “Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3,” with security personnel targeting suspected militant hideouts, the sources said on Saturday.
Militants Linked to Highway Attacks
According to the sources, the two militants were involved in harassing passengers along the Quetta-Taftan Highway and spreading fear in the surrounding areas.
The militants had also been involved in setting commercial vehicles and passenger buses on fire along the highway, causing damage to the national economy.
Operations Continue Across the Province
Security forces continue operations against militancy in Balochistan, with authorities reiterating their commitment to eliminating terrorism from the province.
The Quetta-Taftan Highway serves as a key trade and transit route, and attacks on vehicles along the corridor have raised concerns over the safety of passengers and the movement of goods in the region.
