ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), urging citizens to embody the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in both personal and collective life.
In his official message, President Zardari emphasized the responsibility of Muslims as followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to champion justice, tolerance, interfaith and sectarian harmony, and respect for human dignity across society.
He specifically called on the younger generation to draw inspiration from the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), urging them to adopt knowledge, high moral character, hard work, and service to humanity as the guiding principles of their lives.
A Comprehensive Guide for National Success
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offer a comprehensive guide for the religious and worldly wellbeing and success of Muslims. He noted that the blessed personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) represents the finest embodiment of Islamic teachings.
The prime minister called upon the nation to renew its commitment to incorporating the Seerat-e-Tayyaba into their character, individual conduct, and collective behaviour.
Vision for a Welfare-Oriented State
Prime Minister Sharif also urged citizens to play their active role in transforming Pakistan into a strong, prosperous, peaceful, and welfare-oriented state. Both leaders prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country on this auspicious occasion.
The messages come as millions of Muslims across Pakistan and around the world observe Eid Milad-un-Nabi, commemorating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with religious fervor, processions, and special prayers.
