Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, during his visit to Balochistan, stated that no-name enemies, no matter how friendly they appear, will face defeat. He praised the strength of the nation and armed forces, emphasizing that the enemies will be defeated by their power. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief received a briefing from senior security and intelligence officials on the current security situation in Balochistan. He also participated in the funeral prayers of the martyrs along with the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan.
General Bajwa visited wounded soldiers in Quetta and commended their unwavering resolve for the defense of the country. He further noted the commendable efforts of brave officers and soldiers of institutions enforcing laws against terrorism. He reaffirmed the commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Balochistan and expressed support for the provincial government’s efforts for peace and development. Recent operations in Balochistan resulted in the killing of 23 terrorists, with 18 Frontier Corps soldiers martyred in the process.
The ISPR reported that these operations were conducted during attempts by terrorists to block roads, with the aim of disrupting the peaceful environment in Balochistan. In his statement, General Bajwa warned that they are aware of those who follow duplicitous policies on behalf of foreign masters and stated that whenever needed for the defense of the nation, they will respond with force. He emphasized that those who adhere to such policies will be pursued wherever they are, and they will surely face defeat by the nation and armed forces’ steadfastness.
