KARACHI — Pakistani actress Komal Aziz Khan has confirmed she has left the entertainment industry for good, saying she now intends to devote herself to entrepreneurship, financial independence and personal growth.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the actress said she had deliberately chosen a different direction in life, placing business, self-sufficiency, self-improvement and what she described as her journey towards self-love at the centre of her priorities.
Exit Came Years After Final Role
Komal revealed that she had in fact stopped acting almost five years ago, but had held back from making a formal announcement. She said she wanted to close that chapter privately, away from unnecessary media attention, and to concentrate on her new goals.
Her last television appearance was in the 2021 drama serial Mohlat. Since then, she has pursued interests outside acting, particularly building her business and working towards financial independence.
Gratitude to Fans, Clarification on Personal Life
Looking back on her acting career, Komal thanked her fans for the affection and support they had shown her throughout her time on screen.
She also used the statement to clarify that she is not married, addressing speculation that had circulated about her personal life.
The actress asked her followers to remember her in their prayers, especially for the success of her business, her future ventures and blessings in her life.
Growing Trend of Screen Exits
Her announcement adds to a growing pattern of Pakistani television figures stepping away from acting to pursue other paths. In a related development, actor Aymen Saleem recently began a political journey with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), signalling that several performers are now seeking public roles beyond the screen.
