A significant drug trafficking network operating between Toulouse, France, and Spain has been exposed following a lengthy investigation led by the Anti-Narcotics Office (OFAST). A resident of Colomiers is suspected of importing cocaine from Spain and supplying it to an extensive network. So far, ten individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
The investigation revealed that the network was actively smuggling cocaine between Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) and Barcelona, Spain. Authorities uncovered the operation through surveillance, data analysis, and monitoring movements in Spain. The first arrest took place on January 16, followed by additional detentions. During raids in Toulouse and Pau, police seized two kilograms of cocaine, €65,000 in cash, and two handguns.
Five individuals were arrested at their homes during the investigation, while multiple locations were raided. A source stated, “Several individuals have been detained, charged, and sent to prison.” The investigation remains ongoing, with further developments expected in the Barcelona region of Spain.
This case highlights the French authorities’ continued crackdown on drug trafficking. OFAST has reiterated its commitment to dismantling drug networks and eliminating criminal organizations. The operation underscores the persistent efforts to combat cross-border drug smuggling and organized crime in Europe.
