ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted an unannounced inspection of the under-construction headquarters of the National Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday, where he voiced strong displeasure over the sluggish pace of the upgradation project and the absence of workers.
During the surprise visit, the interior minister found only a single labourer present at the site. The worker Naqvi that while nine individuals were officially assigned to the project, construction activity had remained suspended for several days.

Expressing serious concern over the lack of progress, Naqvi promptly contacted the relevant authorities telephone and issued directives to accelerate work on the upgradation project without any further delay.
The federal interior minister stated that the purpose his unannounced visit was to personally review the progress on the project. He expressed disappointment over the unsatisfactory pace of work and instructed the concerned to ensure its timely completion.
