The PNS/M Hangor is outfitted with advanced combat systems, modern sensors, and enhanced stealth features. The submarine was commissioned in April during a ceremony in Sanya, China, with President Asif Ali Zardari as the chief guest. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, congratulated the nation and the Pakistan Navy on the achievement, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations.
