ISLAMABAD — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed Pakistan’s deep solidarity with China and Nepal following catastrophic flash floods and landslides that have claimed numerous lives and left many others missing across both nations.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Dar said he was “deeply saddened” by the scale of the tragedy and the loss of precious lives. He emphasized that Pakistan stands ready to assist its regional partners during this difficult time.
Message of Grief and Support
“Pakistan stands in solidarity with our Chinese and Nepali brothers and sisters in this hour of grief,” Dar wrote. He added that Islamabad was offering “all possible support and assistance” in the wake of the disaster.
The deputy prime minister extended his “deepest condolences” to the families who lost loved ones and acknowledged the efforts of emergency responders working on the ground.
Tribute to Rescue Workers
Dar also paid tribute to the courage and dedication of rescue teams operating under extremely challenging conditions.
“We salute the courage of the rescue teams working tirelessly under difficult conditions,” he said, highlighting the ongoing relief efforts in the affected regions.
The flooding and landslides have caused significant damage in parts of China and Nepal, with authorities in both countries continuing search and rescue operations. Pakistan’s expression of support underscores the close diplomatic ties and regional cooperation among the three nations.
