A delegation of prominent Pakistani actors travelled to Jordan for a five-day humanitarian mission aimed at supporting displaced Gazan families, delivering essential food supplies and spending time with patients undergoing medical treatment far from home.
Mission Delivered Food to More Than 500 Families
The visit, organised by the UK-based charity SKT Welfare and held from September 29 to October 3, brought together actors including Jawed Sheikh, Khaled Anam, Saba Hamid, Shagufta Ejaz, Ally Khan, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Nabeel Zafar.
During the mission, the delegation helped prepare and distribute more than 500 boxes of essential, non-perishable food items to Gazan refugee families. The actors also met Palestinian patients and their relatives receiving medical care in Jordan.
Children Bearing the Brunt of Conflict and Displacement
According to Khaled Anam’s account of the trip, many of the families receiving assistance included children who had been injured during the conflict or were being treated for serious illnesses such as cancer and heart conditions.
In a social media post, he said the team packed and personally delivered food ration boxes to over 500 Gazan refugee families whose children were either wounded in the conflict or living with severe medical conditions, both in hospitals and in their temporary accommodation.
One of the more personal moments of the visit was an afternoon arranged for children undergoing cancer treatment. SKT Welfare hosted the children for games, activities and a hot meal, offering them a brief respite from the pressures of treatment and displacement.
Documenting the Mission for Followers Back Home
The actors shared photographs and videos from the trip on Instagram, giving their followers a closer look at both the practical aid delivered and the personal connections formed with families and children during the visit.
The Jordan mission comes as Palestinian patients and their families continue to navigate medical treatment and displacement far from Gaza. SKT Welfare says it continues to assist people evacuated for medical care through its work in Jordan, while its wider relief operations extend to communities inside Gaza.
