Renowned playwright and filmmaker Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has once again expressed his strong stance against superstar Mahira Khan, stating that he will neither forgive her nor engage in any conversation with her. Qamar recently appeared on a podcast, and a short clip from the interview has gone viral on social media. In the video, he openly shared his feelings about the actress.
Qamar revealed that casting Mahira Khan in the drama *Sadaqay Tumharay* was a “sin” for him, and he has no intention of forgiving her. He emphasized that he will never speak to her again. However, he did acknowledge her acting skills, stating that he had initially wanted her to work as a heroine.
This is not the first time Qamar has publicly criticized Mahira Khan. In March 2020, when he used inappropriate language against social activist Marvi Sirmed during a TV show, Mahira expressed her disappointment. In a tweet, Mahira stated that she was shocked by Qamar’s words, which she felt demeaned women on national television.
Earlier in May 2024, Qamar had hinted at the possibility of collaborating with Mahira Khan, but he has now clarified his position once again. Reports suggest that Mahira is set to appear in Qamar’s upcoming film *Mirza Jatt*, alongside actors like Humayun Saeed.
The conflict between Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Mahira Khan has been ongoing for the past five years. It began when Qamar used derogatory language against Marvi Sirmed, prompting Mahira to publicly criticize him. Since then, the two have been at odds.
In his recent statement, Qamar clarified that he is not angry with Mahira Khan personally but despises her “actions.” He reiterated that he will never work with her and will not forgive her.
The dispute shows no signs of resolution, and relations between the two remain strained. Qamar has made it clear that he will avoid any form of collaboration with Mahira Khan in the future.
