Security forces in Pakistan have killed seven militants in two separate operations spanning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources, in a continued push against armed groups operating across the country’s western belt.
Five Killed in Bara Operation
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five militants linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Bara area, the sources said. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene, and militant hideouts were destroyed during the raid.
The operation was launched on the basis of prior intelligence, underscoring the continued reliance on targeted, information-driven strikes against suspected militant positions in the province.
Two Killed in Chagai After Arson Attack
In Balochistan’s Chagai district, security forces conducted a separate operation in the Naukcha area under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, killing two militants.
According to the sources, the militants had set fire to an empty water bowser in Naukcha and attempted to flee the scene. Security forces responded immediately and killed both individuals.
The sources added that the slain militants were allegedly involved in arson incidents at several points along the N-40 highway, a key route running through the province.
Earlier Operation Killed Eleven
The latest strikes follow an earlier operation on August 31, in which 11 militants accused of similar acts of sabotage were killed, according to security sources.
Security forces said they would continue operations against militants as part of broader efforts to eliminate terrorism and establish lasting peace in the country.
Ongoing Campaign
The operations reflect the persistent security challenges facing Pakistan’s northwestern and southwestern regions, where militant activity and separatist violence have long tested state control. Authorities have repeatedly pledged to sustain pressure on armed groups through intelligence-led operations and coordinated action across provinces.
