Spring Break 2025: Dates Announced for Zones A, B, and C

Spring Break 2025: Dates Announced for Zones A, B, and…

As one-third of students return to school this Monday, many are already looking forward to the next vacation period. The eagerly anticipated spring break is just a few weeks away, offering a glimmer of hope as students transition back to their routines.

Students in Zone B resumed classes on February 24, while those in Zone C are returning today, March 3, 2025. Meanwhile, students in Zone A have until March 10 before their classes resume. This timing provides a welcome opportunity to discuss the forthcoming spring break, the last short vacation before the summer.

Spring break for French school zones is staggered between April 5 and May 5, 2025. Specifically, Zone A will have its break from April 19 to May 5. Zone B will enjoy a slightly earlier vacation from April 5 to April 22, taking advantage of Easter Monday on April 21 as an additional day off. Zone C, including Corsica, will observe their break from April 12 to April 28.

Unfortunately, the year 2025 does not align well with public holidays for Zone A. Falling between April 19 and May 5 means missing out on Easter Monday and the May 1 Labor Day holiday, both of which occur during their vacation period.

This scheduling quirk highlights the varying advantages and drawbacks experienced by different zones across France. As students and families plan their activities, these dates offer a mix of anticipation and, for some, a touch of disappointment regarding missed holidays.

As spring approaches, these upcoming breaks will provide students and their families with much-needed rest and an opportunity to recharge before the final stretch of the academic year.
