A driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a roadside house in the village of Estrées-lès-Crécy on Sunday evening, resulting in three fatalities. The two passengers in the car, aged 20 and 21, died instantly, according to local authorities.

The impact of the collision also caused the death of the 50-year-old homeowner, who suffered a fatal heart attack during the incident. Six people, including two children between the ages of 10 and 12, were inside the house at the time of the crash.

Preliminary investigations suggest excessive speed may have been a factor in the accident. An official inquiry has been opened to determine the exact circumstances.

Toxicology and alcohol tests were conducted on the driver, though results have not yet been released. The incident occurred around 10:25 p.m. on September 7.
