Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during an attempted robbery at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area in the early hours of Thursday. According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when intruders tried to break into the actor’s home. Saif bravely resisted the attackers, thwarting the robbery attempt but sustaining multiple stab wounds in the process.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, CEO of Lilavati Hospital, confirmed that Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One of the injuries was located near his spine. The actor is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
In an official statement released by his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team, it was revealed that the robbery attempt was unsuccessful. The statement read, “Last night, an attempted robbery took place at the residence of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, which was foiled. Saif sustained severe injuries on his arm.” It further assured that the actor is receiving medical care, while Kareena and their two children are safe and unharmed.
The couple’s team urged fans to remain calm and avoid spreading or believing unverified information. They emphasized that only statements issued by the police or their official team should be considered accurate.
Saif Ali Khan also released a personal statement to reassure his fans, saying, “I request my well-wishers to stay calm. I am doing well and will recover soon.”
Following the incident, Mumbai police have launched an investigation and are working to apprehend the suspects. Meanwhile, fans of the actor have flooded social media with messages of support, wishing him a speedy recovery and praising his courage in the face of danger.
