The wildfires ravaging Los Angeles remain uncontrolled, with experts warning that it could take several weeks to fully contain the blaze. Amid the ongoing crisis, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who resides in Los Angeles with her American husband, took to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to update her fans about her safety. Zinta, who has lived in the city for years, expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fires while confirming that she and her family are currently safe.
In her heartfelt post, Zinta wrote, “I never imagined I would witness a day when fires would engulf the areas around us. Friends and family in the city have either evacuated or are on high alert. Ash is falling from the hazy skies like snow. There’s a sense of fear and uncertainty about what will happen if the winds don’t stop. We have young children and elderly family members with us.”
She added, “My heart breaks for the destruction around us, and I am grateful to God that we are safe for now. My prayers are with those who have lost their homes and everything in these fires. I hope the winds calm soon and the fires are brought under control.” Zinta also extended her gratitude to the fire department, firefighters, and volunteers working tirelessly to save lives and property.
Los Angeles, the heart of Hollywood, is home to numerous celebrities, many of whom have been affected by the wildfires. Reports indicate that the homes of stars such as Bella Hadid, Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, John Goodman, and Mark Hamill have been impacted by the blaze.
The fires have spread across multiple areas of Los Angeles, and firefighters are working around the clock to contain them. Experts warn that weather conditions and strong winds could exacerbate the situation, potentially leading to further devastation.
Authorities have issued warnings to residents, urging them to remain vigilant and relocate to safer areas immediately. Those living in affected zones are being moved to relief camps, where they are provided with food, water, and other essential supplies.
While Zinta’s message has brought some relief to her fans, the crisis in Los Angeles is far from over, and a long battle lies ahead to bring the wildfires under control.
