Pakistani actress and television host Hina Khwaja Bayat has alleged that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was inspired by her show to create a similar program. Bayat recently appeared on a private show, where she discussed her career and various intriguing topics, shedding light on her groundbreaking contributions to Pakistani television.
Bayat began her career as a host and is credited as one of the first personalities on Pakistani television to address real societal issues on screen. Reflecting on her shows *Uljhan Suljhan* and *Geo Hina Ke Saath*, she stated, “When we started this show, no one was talking about psychological issues. Our goal was to bring people’s problems to light without sensationalizing them. The first show, *Uljhan Suljhan*, focused on psychological issues, and later it was renamed *Geo Hina Ke Saath*.”
She further revealed that she personally designed the set for her show. However, she expressed surprise when Aamir Khan launched a program with a strikingly similar format. “After some time, Aamir Khan also started a show, and when we saw it, we were shocked because the set and content were very similar to ours. I would say that Aamir Khan was inspired by our show,” Bayat claimed.
Although Bayat did not name Aamir Khan’s show directly, media reports suggest she was referring to *Satyamev Jayate*, which Khan hosted on the Indian channel Star Plus. The show gained immense popularity in India for its unique format and focus on social issues.
Through her work, Bayat not only highlighted societal problems but also pioneered a new style of hosting that later influenced similar programs in other countries. Her contributions to Pakistani television remain a significant milestone in the industry, showcasing her ability to tackle sensitive topics with grace and authenticity.
