KARACHI — Sidra Zahid, the sister-in-law of Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor, has publicly rejected swirling rumors of a divorce between him and his wife, fellow actor Ayeza Khan, describing the reports as unfounded and insisting the couple remains happy together.
In a social media statement, Sidra Taimoor urged the public to disregard speculation about a separation between the two showbiz stars, neither of whom has confirmed any marital rift.
“There is no truth to reports of a separation between Danish and Ayeza,” she said. “Both are very happy.”
She added that actors are human beings with feelings, referencing her own experience of being trolled after attending the concluding event of the drama “Sher” and again for not attending another event. She appealed to fans not to believe false rumors about the couple.
What Sparked the Divorce Speculation?
The rumors gained traction after Ayeza Khan was absent from the screening of the concluding episode of Danish Taimoor’s drama “Humnahi.” Fans also noticed that Ayeza did not post a social media tribute for Danish on August 8, their wedding anniversary.
Concerns deepened when Danish shared only his own picture on social media on Independence Day rather than a family photograph. Reports also claimed that Ayeza removed all pictures featuring Danish and their children from her Instagram account.
Despite the online chatter, neither Ayeza Khan nor Danish Taimoor has issued a statement confirming any divorce or separation, leaving the speculation circulating on social media unverified.
One of Pakistan’s Most Beloved Showbiz Couples
Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan married in 2014 and are widely regarded as one of the most popular couples in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. Their on-screen and off-screen chemistry has earned them a massive fan following across the country and beyond.
Industry observers note that celebrity couples in Pakistan often face intense scrutiny on social media, where unverified rumors can spread rapidly. The couple’s silence on the matter has only fueled further speculation, though family members like Sidra Zahid have stepped forward to deny the claims.
