Pakistani actor and model Imran Abbas has confirmed that he has moved away from television dramas over the past two to three years, turning his attention instead to real estate, construction and philanthropic work.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Abbas explained the reasons behind his prolonged absence from television, stating plainly that he is no longer working in dramas.
From Film Sets to Construction Sites
The actor said he had redirected his focus toward real estate and construction, noting that his academic background in architecture has proved useful in pursuing development projects.
Abbas revealed that he has already begun construction work in Islamabad and is currently building a tower near Islamabad International Airport. According to the actor, the project is expected to be completed in approximately two and a half years.
Personal Loss Shapes a New Purpose
Beyond business, Abbas spoke candidly about his growing involvement in charitable activities. He explained that the loss of his parents and the fact that he has no children of his own have encouraged him to devote himself to work that benefits others.
“I want to do something for others that will benefit me in the afterlife,” he said.
The remarks mark a clear shift in priorities for the actor, who was once a familiar face on Pakistani television, with his energies now divided between development projects in the capital and charitable causes close to his heart.
