Islamabad: The Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification appointing Justice Sarfraz Dogar as the Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court. His tenure will continue until the appointment of a permanent Chief Justice. This development comes following the recent approval by the Judicial Commission for the elevation of the current Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Aamer Farooq, to the Supreme Court. Alongside this, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb has also been appointed as an acting judge.
The decision marks a significant reshuffle within the judicial framework of Islamabad, as authorities aim to ensure the smooth functioning of the court amidst these transitions. Justice Dogar’s appointment is seen as a critical step in maintaining judicial stability and continuity during this period.
As the legal community and the citizens of Islamabad adjust to these changes, the focus remains on the efficient administration of justice. The prompt appointment of Justice Dogar underscores the importance placed on leadership within the Islamabad High Court during this interim phase.
This appointment is part of a broader array of judicial movements and decisions impacting various levels of the judiciary, reflecting ongoing efforts to address current demands within the legal system.
