KARACHI – In a swift resolution to a chilling abduction case, law enforcement authorities have apprehended four suspects, including a female accomplice, for the kidnapping of a 10-year-old boy in the city’s Saudabad area. The arrests were confirmed on Tuesday following an intelligence-based operation.

Police officials reported that the victim, identified as Khizr, was abducted on July 9. Acting on critical intelligence, the police force launched a targeted operation that resulted in the arrest of the entire gang and the recovery of a vehicle used in the commission of the crime. The child was successfully rescued from Falcon Colony within a critical 12-hour window.
The Arrested Suspects and the Plot
The suspects have been identified as Moaz Ali, Muhammad Matal, Rashid Ali Syed, and a woman identified as Afia, also known as Shahida. A detailed investigation revealed a disturbing breach of trust; Muhammad Matal, a neighbor of the kidnapped child, was the mastermind behind the entire kidnapping-for-ransom scheme.
Authorities have confirmed that further investigation is currently underway to uncover any additional details or potential links to other criminal activities. The swift action by the police has been lauded for ensuring the safe return of the minor to his family.
