Security forces in Pakistan have killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, security sources confirmed.
The operation was launched following intelligence reports indicating the presence of militants in the area, according to the sources. The targeted individuals were identified as members of Fitna al-Khawarij.
Operation Part of Broader Counter-Terrorism Campaign
According to security sources, the raid was conducted as part of ongoing efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, a national counter-terrorism initiative aimed at disrupting militant activity across the province.
The sources stated that security operations have contributed to efforts to dismantle militant networks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier Raid Killed Eight Militants
The latest operation follows a previous intelligence-based operation in the same district, in which security forces killed eight India-sponsored terrorists, including three key commanders.
During that earlier raid, security sources reported that a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, along with foreign currency, was recovered from the militants.
